Elevating the Professionalism of Paamonim’s Support System

Over the past year, Paamonim’s support system, providing mentorship and guidance, has seen substantial enhancements. Previously, our family support services operated as a unified entity, covering all aspects of family support, including the expert center. A reorganization initiative was instigated as an effort to enhance the support processes by effectively leveraging all available resources to guide and mentor each family through their transformation and recovery journey toward financial stability.

Volunteers were introduced to an innovative methodology that encompasses both newly recruited members and long-standing volunteers. Our training encouraged them to perceive themselves as facilitators and integrators within a family’s transformational journey. Rather than solely concentrating on individual aspects, we now regard families as holistic systems facing unique challenges, particularly in relation to their financial habits. Our support team collaborates closely with supplementary expert resources. This collaboration includes delivering professional guidance to formulate effective debt management plans,       assisting with loan applications from Paamonim’s organization’s fund (when necessary), and offering advice from specialists across various fields, among a range of additional services.
In light of the challenging economic climate, characterized by rising living costs, inflation, and interest rates, we have elevated income enhancement as a primary focus in our endeavors to deliver financial recovery assistance. To support this, we have bolstered the expert center by expanding our workforce and investing in professional development. As a result, we’ve introduced two specialized services within our employment counseling service: Resume’ writing and job interview preparation.

Furthermore, in the past year, we have established the foundation for a system of nationwide courses designed to address the unique requirements of families and single-parent women. This effort involved the revision of course content and the training of a new group of instructors who are now integral to our system. Currently, we are in the process of actively expanding our family support services by means of these courses, all the while enhancing the expertise and professionalism of our facilitators.

Additionally, we conducted a thorough review and enhancement of our one-time “Paamonim” service, which has been expanded to include three consultations per family. Our consultants delivering this service have undergone specialized training to ensure its effectiveness.

In summary, over the past year, the family support system accomplished the following:

2005 families underwent financial rehabilitation process support, 450 families received one-time counseling, and 950 families and single-parent women completed a family course.

Alongside our recent initiatives, the support and mentorship services are actively involved in a process aimed at articulating and refining the precision of our organizational structure.

In light of the rapidly evolving external environment, in conjunction with the dynamic requirements of the families and individuals seeking our services, we acknowledge the imperative to elevate our competence and professionalism. We are actively immersed in this transformative journey, firmly believing that aligning our structure with precision will empower us to deliver the utmost quality of service to families and individuals. This realignment will also strengthen the skills and capabilities of our staff and volunteers across a spectrum of services, effectively positioning us to tackle the challenges of the future.
