The Freedom of Limitless Possibilities

Summer – a season that often comes with high expenses and limited options.

How can we best navigate this challenge?

Our team of field reporters conducted an extensive online search to provide you with price ranges in five different categories: food, transportation, accommodation, water attractions and summer events/shows. As you consider these details, remember to search online for rewards, discounts, coupons, and promotions to make the most of your summer experiences and spending
.

Food
:

If you prefer dining out instead of cooking at home or making sandwiches, whether you’re planning a family outing or a quiet evening, we’re here to provide you with insights into the price ranges per person while ensuring you enjoy a balanced meal with protein, vegetables, and carbohydrates.

For example, a serving of falafel with a drink typically costs around 40 shekels. Opting for a vegan stir-fry dish, vegetarian sushi, or a meat skewer, accompanied by a side dish and a drink, may amount to approximately 100 shekels. If you decide to indulge in a meat dish, complete with an appetizer/dessert and a drink, the price can increase to around 200 NIS. And if you’re seeking a tranquil evening at a luxury restaurant, the bill per person may reach up to 400 NIS.

Transportation:

Public transportation provides the convenience of purchasing a day ticket that covers all your travel expenses, with prices ranging between 18 and 74 shekels depending on the distance of travel. For the exact fare, you can use the “Worthwhile Road Reform” calculator section. It is important to note that children under 18 pay fifty percent of the fare, while children under five can travel for free, accompanied by a parent.

When using a private car, the costs include approximately 6.85 shekels per liter of fuel, as well as parking fees ranging from a few shekels to around 150 shekels. Renting a car for six days starts at 1200 NIS for a small car, 2700 NIS for a medium-sized car, 4200 NIS for a family car, and 8900 NIS for a car with seven seats. Alternatively, shared vehicles offer convenience, allowing you to scan, start the car, drive, park, and pay. These vehicles are typically smaller and cost around 90 NIS per day, with an additional 1 NIS per kilometer, making them a cost-effective option for short to medium distances.

Accommodation:

If you are a family with three children seeking an overnight stay away from home, it is important to be financially prepared. Open-air accommodations with a 1000-star rating offer regulated locations to spend the night, starting at 180 NIS per night. Two to three-star hotels typically range from 1300 NIS. Adding one more star to the rating increases the price to around 2700 NIS, while opting for the luxury of a five-star hotel can cost approximately 5000 NIS. Another budget-friendly option is to consider home exchanges with friends and family who may be traveling around the same time.

Water Activities:

Regulated beaches and streams are open to the public with no entrance fee. However, entry to authorized Nature Parks typically costs around 98 NIS for a couple with three children. Alternatively, purchasing an annual membership for 450 NIS grants you access to all sites throughout the year. Water parks offer a refreshing option, but the entry fee can be around 150 NIS per person unless you benefit from various club discounts.

Remember to compare the feasibility of one-time entry, membership cards, and subscriptions as the right choice can save you tens or even hundreds of shekels
.

Culture and Entertainment

:

Before rushing to purchase tickets, it is recommended to stay informed about the latest announcements from local authorities and entertainment venues. You will often find numerous free public performances listed in their publications.

In some cases, there may be an admission fee for certain shows, with tickets costing around 70 NIS per person.

If you’re interested in attending a show featuring well-known trendy artists where you can enjoy singing or comedy, ticket prices can range around 180 NIS.

For shows featuring high-ranking artists or international performers, ticket prices may start at over 300 NIS.

Make the most of the summer holiday by planning ahead and being mindful of your choices!
