About the Amuta:

The "Paamonim Charity Organization" was founded in 1997 for the purpose of economic rehabilitation of families and individuals in economic distress. Its founders were involved in voluntary charity activities and they established the organization under the slogan "a different approach to charity", i.e. professional financial tutoring to rehabilitate and rescue families from the cycle of poverty - not only giving handouts of money or food. Today there are 24 Paamonim areas throughout the country which operate within five regions (Center, North, South, Jerusalem and Sharon-Samaria). The key activities of the organization are carried out by 2,000 volunteers who tutor the families in their economic rehabilitation process. The main office of the organization is in Petah Tikva and the organization employs almost 50 workers.
